Love happen everywhere. You can’t predict when and where it happen. You can’t even predict whether it will happen to you. Or if yes, when. But it does happen. It happens between friends, happens between colleagues, happens between even strangers. Among all these, one beautiful one is between a student and a teacher. A female student and a male teacher. I don’t know what makes it that beautiful but everybody likes to know about it. Every student wish to a teacher loving his student. That’s one of the most beautiful scene a campus can offer. Imagine there is a new movie released. The theme is love between a student and teacher. Don’t you want to see it?

We all love that. Yet, we may say its not good. That a teacher shouldn’t love his student. It’s a taboo relationship. Teacher is like father or elder brother. But that’s not true. A student teacher relationship just can’t be confined to that small circle. In fact it is far bigger than that. It is the most versatile relationship that can occur between a man and woman. The teacher can be like father to many students. Like brother to a few. Friend to all. And definitely a husband to one, with the only condition that he must divest the label of a teacher. That’s more like a bishop divesting his robe for just one believer. It doesn’t matter much.

So it’s all right a teacher loving his student and wishing her to be his would be wife. But he loses is the authority of him over her. The chair of power, sitting on which he and she feel like he is above her and she must obey his dictations. But the moment he loves her, he must get up from it and stand next to her. Instead of ordering her to come to his staff room which she would acquiesce with pleasure, requesting her to come to the canteen to which she doesn’t oblige can never be a nice scene before the eyes him thought it is very much fun of her and her classmates. That’s what pulls back him from proposing to her.

Hence it is the practical side of it, yet, we see many teachers, especially young, unmarried, loving one of their students. One of reasons is girls, don’t know why, wants to marry a matured man elder to her, who somehow looks like a teacher in his formal dress. I still don’t know why they think so, but only I can assure that they are totally wrong. Men can be called matured if they act so in their casual dress more than in formal ones in which they can’t show their immaturity. The next one is the general tendency of a girl to love a person who is the centre of attraction. The other one can be the fact that he has a job. Last and least, she might be thinking she might be wishing to get a man who talks to her for an hour, I don’t know.

But for a man, the reason is nothing but to see a girl giving him respect. Who always laughs to him. Who always obeys him. Who doesn’t say word even if he scolds her. Even even if, the fault lies totally with him. Men are like that. Who can help?

Owing to these reasons, being unable to control his mind, thinking that he won’t get a better girl than her (which can be true because you can’t give any guarantee on that), and most of the times she accepts. Most of the times she accepts because he will not take his chance if he is not sure. If she accepts his proposal, he loses only one student. But it she doesn’t she loses all his students. There was a teacher in our college during my btech days. He fell in love with one of his first year students. He said to her” I know you love me. But I’m not ready now. You wait for me”. After four years she passed out and he stayed there.

That’s the problem when a teacher loves student. He must take every blame to himself. Especially if his heart has slipped off his hand at least for a while.
